Implants Dental implants are a way to replace lost or missing teeth in order to restore your smile to its original form and function. Implants function as a normal tooth in your mouth. They look like a natural tooth, chew like a natural tooth, are cleaned like a natural tooth, and feel like a natural tooth. The only difference is that they are made of Titanium and not tooth material. Implants are also a way to stabilize dentures. Many people are frustrated with the fit of their dentures, being unable to chew and speak normally. Implants provide a solid foundation for dentures and can be fixed or removable. People who have been unable to bite into apples and corn on the cobb can do so after implants. The picture to the left is an example of a man who went from no teeth to a full set because of dental implants. We gave him a bag of apples the day we placed the teeth. We work closely with Dr. Kevin Neshat at the Dental Implant Center of North Carolina for ''Teeth in an Hour'' and ''Teeth in a Day'' systems.
